Wedding Italy - Fees & Policies

This site explicitly contains prices for all services.  There are NO other fees or taxes.

Very Important:  

• We DO NOT book any services/venues/hotels until we receive a signed contract & deposit payment.

• Please do not make flight arrangements or send out invitations for your wedding date until we have confirmed by email to  you.

• All prices are in EUROs (€).   All prices are subject to change, unless covered by a specific contract

• Hotels/Caterers will have final say on moving the ceremony and reception indoors if there is a threat of rain

Organized Event Management Fees (weddings, honeymoons, & managed vacations)

The service fee for setting up & managing events is an additional 15% of the total price of all 3rd party vendor  reservations made for the bride & groom (e.g. hotels, transport, photographer, things to do, trips). 

 The 15% fee covers:

• On-going planning and itinerary development & budgeting

• A record of all reservations (e.g., hotel, place of ceremony/reception, transport,  flowers, photographs, trips, activities).  

• Pre-event status reviews

• Pre-event review meeting after you arrive in Italy (weddings only)

• Event set-up and tracking

Hotel Costs 

It is our policy  not to mark up hotel room costs for couples or their guests.  We always use the hotel price list from the hotel's web site with no alteration, except translation from Italian to English where needed.  Hotels reservations are made as a courtesy to wedding guests at no extra fee.   Note:  this does not apply to our self catering venues  - e.g, villas, castle, etc.

• Visa or MasterCard only (Note:  We do not charge credit card fees.)

• US checks ONLY (cashier)

Notes:  

All credit card charges are charged in US dollars - Credit card companies employ different exchange rates than the going exchange rate.  We advise all clients for Euro currency countries to pay by wire transfer.

Cancellation Policy

All payments are subject to loss in the event of cancellation.   We recommend you investigate wedding and/or travel insurance. 

Note:  weddings are especially difficult for hotels  -  if a wedding gets cancelled, hotels can find themselves with an empty or near empty hotel with no or little time to fill it.   As such wedding cancellation policies are usually quite tough. 

Venue Marketing Policies

• It is our policy to use the venues standard price list  - we simply cut and paste this into our web site.

• On very few occasions for marketing reasons below, we will change the name of a specific venue.   However, we never change their price list.   As of this point, we have one hotel where we have changed the name  -  Albergo Vicino Palinuro.  This hotel has excellent on-line reviews.  We will, obviously, give the real name after the contract.   The marketing reason for changing the name is that our site is used by  lots of people just looking for hotels and we refuse their request.   They subsequently book the hotel through some travel  agency.  This is not a problem with most of our hotels; however, very small hotels get booked very quickly eliminating an opportunity for us to have weddings there - the purpose of our business.
