Villa Miranda, a melding of some of the world's most beautiful
patios and scenery, sits high a steep hill overlooking the beautiful
coast
of Maratea and looks down on the ancient fishing village of Scario -
the home of Slow Dreams. Scario is one of the last truly pristine
fishing villages in Italy. Just down the coast is the bustling market town
of Sapri, ideal for shopping and night life.
The villa is perfect for outdoor weddings - the
pictures tell a much better story than words can - and,
the pictures DO NOT COME CLOSE to describing Villa Miranda.
We would need an IMAX camera even to attempt to capture the essence and
richness of the villa.
The villa is actually located in the Cilento National Park -
famous for its mountain and coastal scenery, way of life (our neighbours still
have donkeys toiling in their fields), and it's coves and beaches are surrounded by
towering cliffs and very blue seas - most of which can only be accessed by boats
which leave every hour or so.
